Biography

Jun-Li Hou was born in 1978 and obtained his B.S. in 2001 from Hubei University and Ph.D. in 2006 from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), with Professor Zhan-Ting Li. After two years postdoctoral research at The Scripps Research Institute with Professor Julius Rebek, he joined the Department of Chemistry of Fudan University in 2008, where he currently is a full professor of organic chemistry. His researches focus on the bio-inspired construction of supramolecular systems that are capable of transmembrane transport of ions and molecules. He has been recognized by several important awards including the Chinese Chemical Society Prize for Young Scientists and the Distinguish Young Scientist Funding of NSFC.
