Biography

Jean-Claude Chambron graduated from the "Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie" of Strasbourg and obtained his PhD in 1986 from the University of Strasbourg under the guidance of Dr. Jean-Pierre Sauvage. After a post-doc at UC Berkeley with Prof. Kenneth N. Raymond, he obtained a CNRS researcher position at the University of Strasbourg in the group of Dr. J.-P. Sauvage, where he worked for his habilitation on porphyrin rotaxanes as models of bacterial Reaction Centers. In 2001, he moved to the University of Bourgogne in Dijon as a CNRS Senior Researcher and in 2018, he joined the Institute of Chemistry of Strasbourg. His current research interests concern various aspects of coordination and supramolecular chemistry from chelator development to the self-assembly of chiral molecular capsules.
