Biography

Simin Liu obtained his Ph.D. degree under the guidance of Prof. Chengtai Wu at Wuhan University in 2004. Then he joined Prof. Lyle Isaacs group at University of Maryland working on Cucurbit[n]urils chemistry as a postdoctoral researcher. After that he joined Prof. Bruce Gibb group at University of New Orleans in 2007 working on water-soluble deep-cavity cavitand. In 2013, he joined Wuhan University of Science and Technology in China as a full professor and was awarded as “Thousand Youth Talents Program of China” in 2015. His research group is interested in supramolecular chemistry, especially Cucurbit[n]urils-based chemistry.
