Biography

Hai-Bo Yang received his M.S. degree at Beijing Normal University in 2001 under the supervision of Prof. Ying Cheng. He obtained his Ph.D. degree at ICCAS in 2004 under the supervision of Prof. Mei-Xiang Wang. Then he joined Professor Peter J. Stang’s group at University of Utah as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He started his independent research as a full Professor at East China Normal University (ECNU) in Shanghai by the end of 2008. Prof. Yang’s research interests span the areas of organic, organometallic, and supramolecular chemistry. In particular, he is very interested in well-controlled self-assembly of organometallic scaffold and their applications in materials science. Prof. Yang was awarded the Excellent Young Chemist Grant and Outstanding Young Scientist Funding by NSFC in 2013 and 2016, respectively. In addition, he was awarded the Young Changjiang Scholarship by Ministry of Education of China in 2016. He got the National Innovation Talent Promotion Program by Ministry of Science and Technology, China in 2017. Now Prof. Yang is the member of Advisory Board for Chem (Cell Press) and Org. Chem. Front. (RSC).
