Biography
Yun-Bao Jiang grew up in Anhui, China and studied chemistry at Xiamen University for 10 years, ending in 1990 with a PhD degree. He was an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at the Max-Planck-Institute for biophysical Chemistry at Goettingen Germany and a university postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Hong Kong. In 2008 he was a visiting professor at National University of Singapore and an invited professor at ENS Cachan, France. He has since December 1995 been a professor at the Department of Chemistry, Xiamen University. The research in Professor Jiang’s group focuses on supramolecular chemistry and molecular recognition and spectral sensing, in which the photo-induced proton and/or electron transfer may be involved.
