Xiaojun NIU is a Ph.D Professor in the School of Environment and Energy, SCUT. Professor Niu received his Ph.D. from Nanjing University in 2003 and was a visiting scholar at Jackson State University from February 2006 to June 2007. He has been engaged in research on water pollution control and resource technology, environmental behavior and ecological effects of pollutants, water quality health and decision support systems, environmental planning and evaluation for more than 10 years. Simultaneously, he has carried out extensive and in-depth studies on the new oxygenation of surfactant, advanced oxidation and coagulation synchronous for algae removal, environmental response of lake cyanobacteria to phosphine, temporal and spatial distribution of phosphine in Taihu Lake, removal and recycling of phosphorus in urban sewage and phosphorus utilization under anaerobic conditions.
