Xin YU received Ph.D. in municipal engineering from Tsinghua University and he is now Researcher in Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He serves as the fellow of the Microbial Ecology Committee of the Chinese Society of Ecology and the Environmental Ecology Committee of the China Ocean Engineering Consulting Association. He have published more than 40 papers in SCI journals and help reviewing papers for journals like Water Research and Environ. Sci. Technol. He held more than 10 authorized invention patents and utility models. His research interests mainly focus on: 1) Biological Treatment and Advanced Treatment of Drinking Water; 2) Behavior characteristics of microorganisms and their derivatives in drinking water system
