Yasunori KAWAGOSHI is Director of Water Resource Research Lab of Center for Water Cycle, Marine Environment & Disaster Management (CWMD) and the Professor of Graduate school of Science and Technology, Kumamoto University. He is the administration officer of Kyusyu -Okinawa branch of Japan Society on Water Environment and the academic adviser of Kumamoto Groundwater Council.  His research interests focus on: 1) Nitrogen removal technology by anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox); 2) Conservation and sustainable use of groundwater resource; 3) Behavior elucidation and removal technologies of trace hazard chemicals in water environment.
